Symbiosis is a connective tool that facilitates a relationship of mutual benefit between staff, students, and their friends/family with the unique biodiversity of the KU Kingston Hill Campus. App users engage in activities in a give and take with nature and gain insight into the biodiversity of the area while enhancing nature literacy through activities like foraging and crafting.

Map feature indicating present species of wildlife. Filters allow user to determine species typically present within 5, 10, and 15 minute walk of current location. Links to Species ID. This feature enables users to go on a scavenger hunt of sorts, searching for wildlife and supports use of the activity pages.
Species ID gives more detailed information regarding the species’ attributes in a database of local wildlife separated into three categories.
